Olivia Burt, 24 (OA 08), has had an incredible year having already made it to the final of the Roux Scholarship competition (Olivia was the first woman to make it to the finals since Sabrina Gidda in 2015) She is now on Masterchefs the professionals. This follows on from her success in 2017 when she won the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ annual award.
Olivia has been working in the food industry for five years after she completed her education at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and then Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork.
For the last three years Olivia has been in London where she has worked at the five-star hotel Claridge’s as their sous chef.
Olivia sent a message to the school saying 'I have so many fabulous memories from Abberley and still see a lot of my year regularly here in London.'
Olivia received such amazing feedback on her cooking in the finals. We congratulate her on her achievement and look forward to watching her career as a professional chef.
