Help Needed- Wide Games Rules

We have had a request from OA Tom Worsley (99) about the rules of the Wide Games that Mr Hammond and Mr Birt organised.

Tom Worsley and Chris Hopkinson have contacted the School because they are organising a Stag weekend for fellow OA Duncan Higgins. They remember playing the Wide Games at Abberley but need to be reminded of the rules of the different games, so that they can be incorporated into the Stag Weekend.

If anybody can shed any light on the rules of the games, please can you contact the Foundation at:
Foundation@abberleyhall.co.uk
and I will have great pleasure in passing on the rules.

I have asked a more recent OA who has given me the following....'the two bases were the Clock Tower and Pavillion, the object was to capture the flag, the rules were: no going into the quarry or swampy bits and no excessive violence!'

UPDATE:

Great News:
We have managed to make contact with Mr Birt who is going to put together the rules of some of the Wide games for Tom and Chris. One game sounds particularly good - The Dark Tower - is played after dusk, I cant wait to hear if they play this game on the Stag Weekend.
